Virtual Landmarks

This booklet of poetry was published by Flarestack Publishing in 2004.

Land’s End

Over the echoes of her words
before she spoke, he told her stories
to make her laugh, to make himself

laugh, and keep the world moving.
But just when it seemed that the moon
would pull away the water just in time

she said what she had prepared many times
before. This was to be a story after all
with quite an ending; and that was the way

he seemed to want it. He left her sitting
and staring into the blue night-sky; he left
her with the car, the keys, and everything.
